Tuna and Avocado Sandwich: A Creamy and Nutritious Treat to Brighten Your Day!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of canned tuna (drained)
  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed
  • 1/4 cup light mayonnaise (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of wholemeal bread

Preparation method:

  1. Preparing the filling: In a medium bowl, combine the tuna, avocado, mayonnaise (if using), lemon juice, red onion, tomato, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mash well with a fork until smooth.
  2. Assembling the sandwich: Spread the tuna mixture generously on two slices of whole wheat bread.
  3. Closing with a flourish: Top with the other two slices of bread and cut the sandwich in half (diagonally, for a special touch).
