Ingredients for the Wrap:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Ingredients for the Filling:

  • 150g sliced turkey breast
  • 100g fresh ricotta
  • 1 tablespoon of nonfat plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Lettuce or arugula leaves
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 1 sliced tomato
  • Fresh herbs (oregano, basil and parsley) to taste
  • Black pepper and salt to taste

Preparation method:

1. Wrap Preparation:

  • In a bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, yeast and salt. Gradually add the olive oil and warm water until a smooth dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth. Divide into small portions and roll out into thin discs.
  • Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook each disc for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until lightly golden brown. Set aside.

2. Preparing the Filling:

  • In a bowl, mix the ricotta with the natural yogurt, olive oil, mustard and chopped fresh herbs. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spread this mixture over the ready wraps.
  • Distribute the turkey breast slices, grated carrot, tomato and lettuce or arugula leaves over the ricotta.

3. Assembly:

  • Carefully roll the wrap, folding the sides to seal it well. Serve immediately or wrap to eat later.
