Ingredients that make the difference:

To prepare our Fit Wrap, you will need some simple and easy to find ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 1 cup (tea) of whole wheat flour
    • Whole wheat flour is rich in fibers, which aid digestion and provide satiety for longer. In addition, it contains vitamins and minerals that are important for the proper functioning of the body.
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
    • Extra virgin olive oil is rich in fats good, which help the health of the heart and blood vessels. In addition, it has antioxidant properties that fight free radicals.
  • ½ cup (tea) of warm water
    • Warm water helps activate the gluten in the flour, which makes the dough more elastic and easier to work with.
  • Salt to taste
    • Salt enhances the flavor of the ingredients and helps preserve the dough.

For the filling:

  • 1 can of canned tuna (choose light tuna for a healthier touch)
    • Tuna is a rich source of proteins and omega-3, which are important for muscular, cardiovascular and brain health.
  • 1 tomato, cut into small cubes
    • Tomatoes are rich in vitamins, minerals and lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals.
  • ½ cucumber, cut into small cubes
    • Cucumber is rich in water and nutrients, such as vitamins and minerals. It also has refreshing and diuretic properties.
  • 2 tablespoons light cream cheese
    • Light cream cheese is a source of protein and healthy fats. It also has a smooth, creamy flavor that pairs perfectly with the other ingredients in the filling.
  • Fresh arugula to taste
    • Arugula is rich in vitamins, minerals and bioactive compounds that benefit health. It also has a spicy and slightly bitter flavor that complements the flavor of the tuna and other ingredients.
  • Seasonings to taste (black pepper, oregano, basil, etc.)
    • Use your favorite seasonings to add a special touch to your Fit Wrap. Experiment with different combinations and find the flavors that you like best.

Step by step preparation:

1. Prepare the dough:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, olive oil, warm water and salt until a smooth, moist dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes on a floured surface until it is elastic and smooth. If the dough is too dry, add a little more water. If it is too wet, add a little more flour.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and form into balls. Cover the balls with a damp cloth and let rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Roll each ball of dough with a rolling pin into a thin, round disc, about 20 cm in diameter.

2. Prepare the filling:

  1. In a bowl, mix the tuna, chopped tomato, chopped cucumber, light cream cheese and fresh arugula.
  2. Season with black pepper, oregano, basil and other seasonings of your choice. Taste and adjust the salt if necessary.

3. Assemble the Wrap Fit:

  1. Spread a thin layer of the filling over each disc of dough, leaving a free edge of about 2 cm around the entire circumference.
  2. Fold the bottom edge of the dough up towards the filling. Then fold the sides of the dough inwards, over the filling.
  3. Roll the dough tightly, starting from the bottom folded edge. Make sure the filling is well enclosed inside the dough.
  4. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Place the Wrap Fit in the pan and brown for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until lightly golden and crispy.
